You have a bunch of flowers - now what? Learn some design principles, color choices, how to use floral foam, how to select a good vase for floral designs, and science-based flower care facts.
Bring your own pocket knife, pruners, flowers and a vase, or just follow along. You will be all set for summer.
Seattle 4 member, Sten Crissey, grew up working in the family business, Crissey Flowers & Gifts. Sten’s knowledge of flower care and handling is based on scientific research funded by the American Floral Endowment (AFE), an organization for which Sten served as a Trustee. AFE funds research and scholarships for commercial floriculture.

In celebration of Mother's Day, let's bake together! Kate will go through the steps in making the perfect flaky pie crust every time, and the art of creating a custom crostata.
A shopping and equipment list will be sent prior to class. Please have all items accounted for prior to class...or feel free to just watch.

Her Pie Camps, held nationwide and pre-COVID, in her Port Angeles based Pie Cottage, regularly sell out. McDermott, who has been featured by the New York Times, Saveur, NPR, to name a few, is a sought after expert and educator in the Art of Pie. We are honored to welcome Kate to the Seattle 4 Rotary.
