Application Requirements Including Club Member Advocate:
Every grant proposal must have a Rotary Club of Seattle club member as its primary advocate. The primary advocate cannot be a staff member or a board member of the organization seeking funding by the proposed grant. The club member advocate ensures all application materials are complete and submitted by the deadline and serves as the liaison between the applicant organization and Seattle Rotary Service Foundation (SRSF) throughout the grant period, if funds are awarded. For Rotarians, advocate requirements are outlined here:
Application Deadline and Presentation Scheduling:
Submit grant proposals for the next annual funding cycle by January 31, 2027. All proposals fitting the criteria will be reviewed. After the initial review, we will develop a shortlist of proposals and contact you to schedule a 10-15 minute virtual presentation to the Local Service Committee. Grants will not be considered for funding without a presentation to the committee.
Funding Availability:
Funding for FY 2027-2028 will be available on or after July 1, 2027. Please request funds only when the project is ready to begin. Requests for the release of funds must be made by the club member project advocate and the requesting organization using the Grant Disbursement Request Form.
Required Project Reporting:
The club member project advocate and awarded organization are responsible for submitting final or progress reports upon project completion, but no later than May 31st of the following year. Please use the Grant Report Form to submit this information, including project photos and videos. Reporting is an essential accountability step, and the report is used to compile the SRSF Annual Report for all members.
