Do You Have Any Musical Instruments to Donate to Students in Need?
Music4Life is a non-profit and project of Rotary District 5030 that distributes musical instruments to public school students in need.
We welcome any gently used musical instruments you wish to donate. They can be delivered directly to these local music stores that are now open: American Music in Phinney Ridge and Kennelly Keys Music in Bellevue, Lynnwood, and Everett.
Please accompany your instrument with the PDF donation form, linked below.

Downtown Holiday Lights and Delights
The Downtown Seattle Association (DSA) invites you to take part in Holiday Lights and Delights presented by Amazon, where a sleigh’s worth of new socially distanced experiences await you in downtown. Dazzling holiday-themed light sculptures have come to life in Westlake Park, with more than 80,000 lights shining from larger-than-life installations of presents, arches, trees, and more. New this year, DSA has brought an augmented reality adventure to designated spots throughout parks, sidewalks, and plazas in the downtown Seattle retail core. Bring your smartphone to discover this digital winter wonderland hidden in plain sight.

Seattle 4 Rotarians! Our community needs us! The blood supply in Seattle has developed into a major public health crisis. Sanitation protocols have shut down bloodmobiles which historically have provided 60% of our region’s blood supply while the demand for blood has risen 8% in just the last month. COVID projections indicate the supply/demand picture will only darken. Your Board of Directors is encouraging us to respond and has approved four quarterly blood drives to take place over the coming year with the first drive happening now!
The featured donation location for this launch is the Pop Up at Mariners T-Mobile Park which runs through December 31st. Mariners are generously giving away fun thank you gifts to donors, such as bobbleheads and hats. To register for this event, click here.
So what incentives are we offering? The opportunity to save lives! Plain and simple. As a special thank you for your donation, Paul Harris Fellowship points will be awarded to all participating Seattle 4 Rotary members; enough that four donations during the year will earn members a full Paul Harris Fellowship! For details, contact our club’s Bloodworks Liaison, Sten Crissey, atstencrissey@gmail.com.
The need cannot be overstated. Understanding the urgency, our District Governor, Cathy Gibson, has called for every club in our district to participate and has announced a competition. Seattle 4 has accepted the challenge and will compete against seven Rotary teams, each team will be roughly the size of Seattle 4’s total membership. To register and record your participation:
Email your appointment confirmation to rotaryoutforblood@gmail.com with the name of your team which is Seattle 4 Rotary.
On the day of your donation tell the registrar that you are donating for Rotary District 5030 (code 5030). Tell your family, friends, and co-workers! We need everybody’s help. And by using the 5030 code, Seattle 4 will receive credit for their donation.
Please! Be a hero! And do your part to support our Rotary is Out for Blood campaign. Make your appointment today!
