The Wide Spectrum of Mental Health

June 19 at Noon
The Westin, 1900 5th Ave.
Mental health affects us all in one way or another.  But the stigma surrounding it can force sufferers into the shadows and prevent us from helping those who desperately need us.  It’s not just the homeless and the addicted.  It could be any one of us.  Wouldn’t you want to help if you could?
Next week, Mark Wright will moderate a discussion with Katrina Egner, an executive at Sound (formerly Sound Mental Health) and Katherine Switz, founder of The Stability Network.  Katrina will share her experience treating the better-known parts of the spectrum: chronic sufferers, the homeless, the addicted, both below and well above the poverty level. Katherine will share her personal experience at the lesser-known end of the spectrum: the highly-successful among us who suffer in silence, hiding their desperate need for help until it's too late.
Come help us broaden our understanding of mental health so that fewer people may suffer in the future.
