Next Week's Meeting
Wednesday, July 27
Westin Hotel and on Zoom
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
Kaj Pedersen, Redefining the Value of Rotary
Zambia-born Pedersen is a software executive currently leading technology for AstrumU and has over 20 years of experience in venture creation. Pedersen found Rotary through his mother's fight with Polio, which she suffered through when Pedersen was a child.
Rotary's ambitious work to eradicate Polio appealed to Pedersen; it's alignment with his personal goals towards service and growth lead him to pursue leadership positions within the organization as Club President, Assistant Governor, and, currently, as District Governor Elect for District 5030 Rotary. Pedersen will present on how all Rotarians can promote Rotary by reexamining the value of membership.
President Beth Knox called Seattle Rotary Club #4 to order at 12:30 pm Wednesday, July 20, 2022. The meeting was held at the Westin Hotel in downtown Seattle and via Zoom.
President Beth first acknowledged all indigenous people who were the original settlers on the land where this meeting was taking place.
She said that last year, President Jimmy’s theme for Rotarians was to “Inspire Hope”.
Our theme this year will be to “Step Up”. Actions make us feel empowered and stronger.
We were glad to host a few Youth Exchange students at this week's meeting! Thanks for submitting the pic, David Fain and Tabitha Claus!
