The Westin - for self-park or valet, obtain coupon at meeting registration for a discounted rate of $14.
Pacific Place is another good option only a couple blocks from most of our venues. The cost is $12 for up to 3 hours. The garage is accessed from either 6th or 7th  between Pine and Olive.

As Rotarians, we are leaders connecting for extraordinary good –both in our community and around the world.  Together we are eradicating polio and malaria, bringing fresh water to rural villages worldwide to stop the spread of disease, and helping our neighbors in need with housing, healthy foods, and educational opportunities.
Once a year we ask you to fulfill your membership obligations and take action by making two gifts that will impact the world.  One is to the Seattle Rotary Service Foundation (SRSF).  The other is to The Rotary Foundation (TRF).  Thank you for taking action now to help our club have a powerful and positive impact on our world.

Reconnecting Seattle to the Ocean

February 6 at Noon
Hyatt Olive 8, 1635 8th Ave
Today, we’re witnessing the most profound change in our planet’s oceans in the past 64 million years, and it’s happening within one human lifetime.  This generation will define what it looks like to live on our planet for all others to come—and we have the opportunity to lead the way.
Bob Davidson, CEO of the Seattle Aquarium, will present their new, 20-acre waterfront park and the Ocean Pavilion, a tremendous investment in public and private dollars that will connect downtown, Pike Place Market, and the waterfront as an iconic gathering place for all, while offering our best chance to shed light on urgent threats facing our oceans.
Also this week: we're celebrating the Lunar New Year! Wear red to be part of the festivities.

Port of Seattle a Key Driver of Regional Economic Vitality

Steve Metruck, our featured speaker at this week’s luncheon, has a big job.  As the Port of Seattle’s Executive Director, Steve leads a far-flung operation that stretches from Shilshole Bay Marina in Ballard to SeaTac International Airport in South King County.
Metruck is finishing his first year at the Port.  He spent 34 years in the Coast Guard prior to becoming the Port’s top executive.  Steve retired as a Rear Admiral and along the way served a stint as the Coast Guard’s Chief Financial Officer.  Earlier in his career, Steve was in command of Northwest operations.  Metruck fell in love with Seattle and is excited to be back.

For the first time, Rotary District 5080 (Spokane area clubs) and District 5030 (Seattle area clubs) will Come Together in Spokane for a joint district conference May 16-19, 2019. Unforgettable moments are made at the Rotary International Convention, a place where the Rotary spirit fills the air with a level of energy and enthusiasm you can’t find anywhere else. This is the event where Rotarians unite and take action to create true and lasting change in the world. The 2019 event will be held in Hamburg, Germany June 1-5.

Rotary Means Business

The Puget Sound Rotary Network is a great resource for Rotarians to share their business with others and learn about products and services offered by other Rotarians in the region.
