Civility: Reclaiming the Idea of America

July 10 at Noon
The Westin, 1900 5th Ave.

In this presidential election year and new year for Seattle #4 Rotary, we will focus frequently on civic engagement and civil discourse.  Our program on July 10 will seek to frame the discussions of the year by seeking to understand more deeply how “civility” is essential to being citizens united for the common good of America and its ideals.

The Boys in the Boat Inspires with History and Heart

By Susie Roe
It's a story about home and what it means to lose your home,
It's a story about being treated poorly, and
it's a story about finding your place in the world.
Citing these as the universal themes in the story of Joe Rantz and the amazing 1936 UW Men’s coxed eight, Daniel James Brown and Judy Rantz Willman spoke of the best-selling book, The Boys in the Boat

This week's Recruiter REwards Prize was donated by:

For Recruiting Rewards his week we had an extra special treat to thank all of you who brought in a new member this year. Our drawing was for dinner for two to CANLIS brought you to by Liz Powell and her real estate company, RE/MAX On Market.
RE/MAX On Market does business throughout the Seattle/Puget Sound area. They are dedicated to excellent service and building wealth for their clients through real estate. If you are looking to buy or sell a home, see Liz.  She has a special deal for Seattle 4 Rotarians.
