Joy Shigaki, Friends of the Waterfront and President Nancy's Last Meeting, Gavel Pass
*Please arrive early; we have a packed agenda!*
Join Friends of Waterfront Park’s President and CEO, Joy Shigaki, as she shares the integral work being done on Seattle’s new world-class 20-acre public space.
After over two decades of imagining, planning and building, Waterfront Park will open to the public in early 2025. Playing an indispensable role now and into the future, Friends of Waterfront Park offers non-profit leadership in the park’s management, fundraising, programming and activation, as well as stewarding the park for generations to come.
Are you a newer or established club member looking to feel more connected and engaged with your club? Would you like to be a welcoming face to prospective club members, visiting Rotarians, and guests attending lunch meetings? Consider adding yourself to the greeter list! You can commit to as few or as many meetings as you want. Many hands make for light work!
We will have additional greeter and meeting assistant needs in our 24/25 Rotary year as we move some meetings over to Plymouth Church starting in August so it is imperative that we add some new names to the roster!
If you would like to be added to our greeter mailing list, please email mary@seattlerotary.org.
Worth Sharing: Club Sponsorship Opportunities Available
We have recently updated our sponsorship support levels and are looking to add new meeting sponsors to our list for the 24/25 Rotary year! Please do your part and share the linked one-pager amongst your business community contacts that might be interested in this opportunity.
Your Future Vision Task Force is sailing off into the sunset as we completed our last report session on Monday. Jan Levy and her Future Vision Implementation teams will be taking it from here! If you have further report or implementation concerns, please send them to Jan.
SRSF Giving Update
Pinkham & Skeel and Presidents Circle Donors will be invited to a special event on Wednesday, June 19th at the Seattle Yacht Club from 5:30pm-7:30pm. This is a recognition for our club members who have donated to the SRSF at either $1000 (P&S) and $2500 (PC) levels. There will be delicious appetizers, wine, beer and soft drinks. It’s going to be a lovely event.
For 40 years, LT has worked at the forefront of civic engagement to cultivate a network of inclusive, courageous, and curious leaders across Puget Sound, with many of our club members being graduates of this program. As we celebrate this significant milestone, join us in honoring our past, celebrating our present, and envisioning our future. To RSVP, CLICK HERE.
