Next Meeting

Wednesday, July 10
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
Westin Hotel

Bobbe Bridge and Rachel Sottile, Center for Children and Youth Justice

The Scales of Justice: Can we create a juvenile justice system that operates from a fundamental premise of rehabilitation, while bringing about accountability and restoration for their actions within their community? CCYJ: A unique approach to achieving better outcomes for children and families impacted by the foster care and/or youth criminal legal system.

All club members and their guests must now pre-register and/or pre-pay for each lunch meeting or event they attend. If you have not done so already, please register for this meeting by CLICKING HERE.

Member and Guest Registration and Pre-Payment Required for All Club Meetings and Events Moving Forward

Starting on July 1, our club moved to a "pay as you go" model for our lunch meetings and events. That means ALL CLUB MEMBERS will now be required to RSVP and/or pre-pay for lunch ahead of each lunch or evening event. Please note that we cannot guarantee meal accommodations for those that have not pre-registered or paid.

We are currently doing registrations through "Member and Guest RSVP" ClubRunner links (available on our club calendar), with another external link for payment through Clover within each of those links (confusing, I know!). I am hoping to have both steps integrated into ClubRunner by August to streamline this system for everyone.

If you were on annual dues payments that included the program plan before this change (mostly nonretired, newer corporate, and some retired members), please note that you are still required to RSVP to each meeting or event you plan to attend so we have the most accurate head count we can provide to our meeting venues and caterers.

Please note that we will be emailing all members that have already paid their annual dues for 24/25 with additional information and options for you this year.

We will continue to reach out to club members and educate you on these new club policies and understand there will be a learning curve with these new processes. Please be patient as club leadership and staff continue to work over the coming months to make everything more streamlined and simpler.

Thanks!
Mary Goldie
Club Director
While our volunteer duties kept us from taking an epic Rotary group selfie, member Robyn Grad got a solo shot during her time volunteering for the KPMG tournament. Several members have commented on how fun volunteering was, so should be make it a tradition?! Thanks for joining in the fun, Robyn!

Monthly Bloodworks NW Appeal

Explanation Warranted: Whenever sending out appeals encouraging blood donations, they typically express a special urgency.

It would be easy to conclude we are crying wolf, urging donations on one pretext or another when in fact the need is normal.”

The Truth: Urgency for blood is normal! Blood is perishable. Blood, unlike money, cannot be stockpiled for a rainy day. Without a steady, predictable flow of blood donations, people will predictably die.

Our member-donors for June include President Nancy Cahill, Larry Granat, Susan Roe, and Sten Crissey. (If you donated in June but do not see your name listed, please email me, stencrissey@gmail.com so I can update my list.)

Sign-up for your donation today. When you arrive to donate, provide Bloodworks with the code, 5030, or let them know you are donating with Rotary District 5030 to count towards our overall impact.

And PLEASE, email me, stencrissey@gmail.com so I am aware of your generosity and can track our club’s progress.  Donors will be honored at meetings and in the newsletter.
