Title: Radical Humility: Be a Badass Leader and a Good Human
In a world of relentless change, fierce competition, rapid tech advances, and a new, diverse generation reshaping the workplace, leadership must evolve. EnterRadical Humility—a bold, human-centered approach that sees humility not as weakness, but as a superpower for leading in complexity.
In this story-rich presentation, Urs brings his deeply researched and field-tested Radical Humility framework to life for the Rotary Club of Seattle. Drawing on his experience as a UN peacekeeper, business executive, veteran coach, ultra-endurance athlete, and globally published professor, Urs equips leaders with the tools to thrive—and lead boldly while staying deeply human.
We changed things up this year, visiting The Swedish Club for our annual Presidents Party! It is the “President's Party” with an apostrophe no longer as for the first time in memory we honored both outgoing presidents of the Rotary Club of Seattle and Seattle Rotary Service Foundation. I'd like to thank once again Jon Bridge and Vicky Oxley for their leadership in these roles this year.
If you are a Rotarian looking to get involved in a leadership position at the club, please let me know! We have some particular needs coming down the pipeline (such as looking for someone to train in the role of Treasurer on the club side), so please email me if you want to be considered for positions in the future.
And again, thanks to everyone who made this Rotary year extra special.
-Club Director Mary Goldie
SRSF Update
Thank you, Seattle 4 Rotarians, for a wonderful year supporting your Seattle Rotary Service Foundation. While we came in just short of our ambitious $200,000 goal, I’m proud to share that 68% of you stepped up and gave. We deeply appreciate your generosity and commitment to our mission.
One of our big goals this year was transparency. With the support of our Program VP, David Frum, and President Jon’s ongoing encouragement and invitation to give, we were able to clearly communicate how and where your dollars are spent. Thanks to your donations, we approved 21 grants totaling $296,695—including a $75,000 community impact grant for Uplift Northwest. If you’d like to see a summary of our impact, please CLICK HERE check out the one-page overview.
Looking ahead, we have an exciting year planned under the leadership of Lillian Sherman. I know the Foundation is in great hands and it’s going to be a fantastic year.
Thank you for your trust, your support, and your friendship throughout this journey. Serving as your President has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I look forward to continuing to support SRSF and our community partnerships in new ways
.
Thank you!
Vicky Oxley
