Our opening music video was the song Lean On originally recorded by the group Major Lazer, American electronic dance music (EDM) trio for their 3rd full-length album “Peace is the Mission in 2015. The version you just heard was performed by the electro-funk band Scary Pockets and featured vocalist Elise Trouw (Trow) in collaboration.

We wish to thank  Doug Picha, Seattle Children's Foundation President, for 40 years of Seattle Rotary membership.  We wish him well in retirement. He will always be remembered for the Christmas gift he and his wife Cassie gave to their children that grew into so much more.

Mount Nyiragongo volcano, located in the Democratic Republic of Congo in Africa, erupted on May 23, killing 31 people and sparking an evacuation in the nearby city of Goma. Nyiragongo, one of the world's most active volcanoes. ShelterBox is monitoring the situation. Their operations teams are in contact with humanitarian agencies in the area and are ready to respond if needed.
Every day, ShelterBox prepares for and responds to disasters and crises that displace families around our world. Currently, they are supporting families who have survived disaster or conflict in 7 different countries. This work is only possible because of private charitable donations to ShelterBox, and if you are a member of the club that has made your annual foundation commitment, you can be proud of your support of ShelterBox.
