All new volunteers must complete an application. Volunteers returning to Wellspring do not need to complete the application again. Returning volunteers do need to RSVP.
Day of clothing: Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing, most tasks require lots of standing, walking, and sorting. Please dress for the weather.
Day of tasks: Volunteers will be supporting the Family Store by sorting through clothing, toys, books, and more, or packing orders to go directly to families experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness. Day of tasks will vary based on greatest need at the time.

Parking: At our facility at 1900 Rainier Ave S. Seattle, WA 98144. Please park in visitor spots. Parking is available onsite, with additional parking available across the street, in the lower lot of the Japanese Presbyterian Church (Wellspring is the green X in the photo below, additional parking is the yellow X). Street parking available in the surrounding neighborhood. We do recommend carpooling when possible. Please do not leave valuables in cars – while we haven’t had problems with this yet, we are hoping to keep it that way.

Donations: Volunteers are welcome to bring donations with them. For used items, please reference our donation guidelines. Our greatest needs are new socks and underwear. We are grateful for cash gifts to support the most critical needs across all programs.
