Autism at Work: Making Diversity and Inclusive Hiring Work for All

Despite often possessing valuable skills for the workplace, autistic individuals have traditionally had alarmingly high unemployment and under-employment rates. With an estimated 50,000 autistic adults entering adulthood annually, overcoming the barriers to successful employment has become a pressing national issue. During this program, Dr. Stobbe and colleagues, Hala Annabi and Natasha Harrington, will highlight some of the current barriers to successful hiring and will focus on strategies that are showing promise not only for the autistic adult, but also potential benefits for the businesses focusing on diversity and inclusive hiring.
