Legacy Giving

The Future of Rotary Is In Your Hands

For more than 100 years, the Rotary Club of Seattle has been dedicated to helping others in our community and throughout the world.  We need you to continue that work in the future.  You can do that through our Legacy Giving Program.  It is one of the most meaningful way to make a significant contribution to the work of Seattle 4 Rotary.  You can do that through your estate plans.

There are many ways to give to the Seattle Rotary Service Foundation at the time of your passing, such as:

  • Name SRSF in your will, either with a dollar amount or a percentage;
  • Designate SRSF as a named beneficiary of your retirement account;
  • Make a gift through an annuity or charitable trust;
  • Name SRSF as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy.
These gifts can be designated to:

  • The Legacy Landmark Fund that funds the major grants that Seattle Rotary legacy is built upon;
  • The Legacy Seattle-4-Ever Endowment Fund provides annual ongoing support that will have an impact in our community year after year and generation after generation;
  • Or a specific area of club service that you are passionate amount.
Up to 100% of your donation may go to either the Legacy Landmark Fund or the Legacy Seattle-4-Ever Endowment Fund, or a combination of these two funds.  In addition, up to 50% can be designated for use within two years of receipt to fund specific club service areas.  Designated service areas are:

  • Arts
  • Business Mentors
  • Community Service
  • Education
  • Environmental Sustainability
  • International Service
  • Peacebuilders
  • Rotary Boys & Girls Club
If there is no designation by the donor, the funds will go into the Legacy Landmark Fund.

All who commit to make a legacy gift to the Seattle Rotary Service Foundation become members of the Seattle Rotary Legacy Society and will be recognized for their visionary generosity unless they elect to make their gift anonymously.
