Matthew Gardner, Chief Economist, Windermere
Economic Forecast
In his presentation, Mr. Gardner will present his 2023 national and regional economic forecasts. As Chief Economist at Windermere, he will provide additional insider insight into the local housing market and why we are will not see a repeat of the 2008 market crash. Gardner has over 28 years of professional experience and sits on several real estate and economic boards including the Washington State Governors Council of Economic Advisors.
Urban Artworks, the group that the Art Committee worked with for the banner project, would love some Rotary support. If any Rotary member are interested in getting messy, working with a group that supports youth BIPOC artists, and helping the community look better, here are some opportunities.

Dia De Los Muertos Community Celebration

This is an informal committee gathering to encourage our members to celebrate and learn about our diverse community. Every year at SAM, Fulgencio Lazo and a team of local artists design a unique tapete (sand painting) to celebrate Día de los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead. The Seattle Rotary 4 Art Committee invites you to attend the 1st Thursday Art Walk on November 3rd. Meet in the Seattle Art Museum (SAM) lobby at 1300 1st Avenue at 5:00pm. We will tour the collections in informal groups and then “walk” across the street for libations at the Goldfinch Tavern, 99 Union St.
Seattle Rotary's Environmental Sustainability Committee invites all club members to this free event, which will focus on the impact of dam removal on the Elwha River. Breakfast, a classroom learning session, and exploratory walk are all on the agenda for this event. To register, please click HERE.

2023 Africa Malaria Tours
Thursday, February 9 - Thursday, February 16 2023 (Zambia) and Thursday, February 16 - Tuesday, February 21 2023 (Tanzania)
Join Seattle Rotary as we visit our malaria partners in Africa during this extensive two-part tour. Rotarians have the option of attending both tours or one of their choosing. The tours include all hotel accommodation, meals, beverages (beer and wine included), gratuities, airport/hotel transfers, ground transportation, and in-country flights between tour legs. Do You Have Any Musical Instruments to Donate to Students in Need?
Music4Life is a non-profit and project of Rotary District 5030 that distributes musical instruments to public school students in need.
We welcome any gently used musical instruments you wish to donate. They can be delivered directly to these local music stores that are now open: American Music in Phinney Ridge and Kennelly Keys Music in Bellevue, Lynnwood, and Everett.
