Religious Communities Foster Trust & Civil Discourse

Religious freedom was the title of the  Seattle Rotary’s long program on Wednesday at the Motif Hotel in downtown Seattle.  Three local clerics came to the podium to describe how religious communities can foster better relations and outcomes.  The panelists were Seattle 4 member and Senior Rabbi of Temple De Hirsch Sinai, Daniel Weiner;  Pastor & Senior Minister, Carey G. Anderson, First African Methodist Episcopal Church; and Reverand Steven L. Thomason, DEAN AND RECTOR, Saint Mark's Episcopal Cathedral,
Rabbi Weiner called the panelists ‘brothers in faith’ on Capital Hill who value interfaith connections beyond their physical proximity.  Each congregation is committed to a set of shared values that extend beyond differences in politics, tone, or style.

The panel focused on three main themes: Uncertainty, Trust and the Next Generation.
