Bob Donegan, President, Ivar's
State of the Waterfront
For 25 years, Bob Donegan has helped manage the historic Ivar’s seafood emporium from its offices on Seattle’s waterfront. Donegan will bring this insider knowledge to his presentation, outlining the state of the waterfront today and exciting developments on the horizon.
When not touting his registered membership to the Ken Grant Fan Club, Donegan volunteers with the Waterfront Association, the new Park Oversight committee, the Seattle Aquarium, Chamber of Commerce, Sports Commission, UW Foster School, Chief Seattle Council of the Boy Scouts, the Washington Hospitality Association, and the Seattle branch of the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank. He and his wife live in Richmond Beach.
President Beth opened the meeting at the Westin on a wet and cold November day.Jimmy Collinsreminded us to vote and then led us in “This Land is Your Land” with Freeman Fong on piano. Tom Mesarosinspired us to VOTE by Tuesday the 3rd and reflected on the key voting-related measures implemented in our country’s history as he reminded us that it was not always as easy to vote like it is today.

Urban Artworks Community Art Support

Urban Artworks, the group that the Art Committee worked with for the banner project, would love some Rotary support. If any Rotary member are interested in getting messy, working with a group that supports youth BIPOC artists, and helping the community look better, here are some opportunities.

2023 Africa Malaria Tours
Thursday, February 9 - Thursday, February 16 2023 (Zambia) and Thursday, February 16 - Tuesday, February 21 2023 (Tanzania)
Join Seattle Rotary as we visit our malaria partners in Africa during this extensive two-part tour. Rotarians have the option of attending both tours or one of their choosing. The tours include all hotel accommodation, meals, beverages (beer and wine included), gratuities, airport/hotel transfers, ground transportation, and in-country flights between tour legs. Do You Have Any Musical Instruments to Donate to Students in Need?
Music4Life is a non-profit and project of Rotary District 5030 that distributes musical instruments to public school students in need.
We welcome any gently used musical instruments you wish to donate. They can be delivered directly to these local music stores that are now open: American Music in Phinney Ridge and Kennelly Keys Music in Bellevue, Lynnwood, and Everett.
