Wednesday, August 3
Westin Hotel and on Zoom
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

Annual Seafair Program featuring RADM Melvin Bouboulis, Commander, US Coast Guard D13 and Eric Corning, Seafair CEO

Long program speaker Rear Admiral Bouboulis serves as the Commander of the Thirteenth Coast Guard District headquartered in Seattle. He is responsible for all Coast Guard operations throughout the Pacific Northwest which encompasses the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana and includes more than 4,400 miles of coastline, 600 miles of inland waterways, and a 125 nautical mile international border with Canada.

Short program speaker Eric Corning will provide a sneak peek of the new Blue Angels Super Hornets and exciting performers in the airshow at this year's Seafair weekend alongside other highlights from Seattle's biggest regional festival (did someone say "floating concerts"?).

Find One and Bring One Prospective Member to Rotary

President Beth called the meeting to order promptly at 12:30. Past president Jimmy Collins led the day’s song, “This Land is Your Land” accompanied by Freeman Fong on the piano and followed by Joel Paget with the day’s inspiration.  Joe Phillips introduced our newest Seattle #4 Rotarian, Brad Barber, Web Producer, City of Seattle.  Executive Director Caroline exhibited her production prowess with another innovative video showcasing Rotarian anniversaries.

New Member Introduction: Brad Barber

Brad grew up in the Philadelphia area and after high school joined the Navy, where his first assignment was to the Naval Nuclear Power School in Charleston, SC, with his first ship assignment being the nuclear-powered USS George Washington.
After finishing his six-year tour of duty with the Navy in 2007, Brad decided to relocate to Seattle because he liked the outdoors and saw this as a region of opportunity not to mention one with a cool vibe.
