When we return to our Rotary meetings on January 6, the year 2020 will be in our rearview mirror. Processing all that took place is a critical step in making the most of the year ahead.
Ed Taylor, Vice Provost and Dean of Undergraduate Academic Affairs at the University of Washington, was the lead instructor for 2020: The Course which engaged students in a series of talks, lectures, and dialogues with over 20 faculty members and alumni from across the University of Washington campuses and community. Faculty and community leaders came together to teach lessons learned from 2020 and examine what national thought leaders were doing to meet the imperatives of 2020 through their research, scholarship, and service. Further, students documented their own experiences to create a time capsule for future generations of UW teachers and learners.
What lessons did students learn? What will they remember? What do these lessons mean for future learners? Why does it all matter? Join us for what promises to be a fascinating look at a momentous year.
